Courtney was raised by her parents through various phases of their divorce, when she aged 7 years old. Jennifer is her sister and she works as an executive in the field of advertising. She was a student at Menlo-Atherton High school in Atherton California. She also graduated from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley California in the year 1985. She also performed with the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley when she was in highschool.
